The latest iteration of the Carnival of Liberty is up over at Combs Spouts Off, the place where, well, Combs spouts off, except that on this very special occasion he's letting the rest of us spout off too, on his nickel. That, and this marks the week where we (evidently) make the official transition from Roman numerals to Arabic! Go us!
"Us," of course, is the Life, Liberty and Property Community of TTLB's ecosystem, the sponsor of the Carnival of Liberty, although one need not be a member of said Community to contribute to or host the Carnival. If you're interested in doing either, just contact Eric at Eric's Grumbles Before the Grave, or any member, really.
Let me quote from an email Combs sent describing this week's offerings:
This week's edition presents a plethora of perspicacious punditry for your perusal -- fresh, original thinking by liberty-minded people on topics such as how disasters are useful, a new use for tea bags, the proper uses of the military, the uselessness of of "stealth" judicial nominations, baseball's use of Kelo, and a useful environmentalist.
So come visit, link, and comment! It's a cornucopia of carnivalisciousness!
How can you resist? Don't even try—it's hopeless. Head over there now and devour this week's official offerings.
And let me draw special attention to Eric's brilliant plan for action, It's Time for a New Tea Party, which I already blogged about earlier this week. It's easy, cheap and quick, and just might save us all a billion or two dollars, so what's not to love?
And, as a special bonus in this week's Carnival, you get to see Dave administer a well-deserved spanking to Andy Rooney. Yes, that Andy Rooney. Yeah, he's still rambling aimlessly on CBS, though increasingly in a leftward direction, so it's about time someone set him straight.
