Isn't he "out" yet?

Seacrest himself taped this last year for presentation on the Letterman show.  I imagine that he (and his agent) thought it might make him appear to be a guy who could poke fun at himself, who doesn't take himself too seriously.

Yeah.  That's exactly what I myself think, of course.  (Full disclosure:  my dear wife is a huge American Idol fan, and even I liked Bo this last season.  My wife also doesn't read this blog every day.  Every now and then I'm glad of that last one, because she has also become a genuine, bona-fide, jumping-up-and-down hollering and clapping Clay Aiken fan.  They call themselves "Claymates."  The comments are now open to receive your condolences.)
