'Zetas' protect drug routes into U.S.

A renegade band of Mexican military deserters, offering $50,000 bounties for the assassination of U.S. law-enforcement officers, has expanded its base of operations into the United States to protect loads of cocaine and marijuana being brought into America by Mexican smugglers, authorities said.

The deserters, known as the "Zetas," trained in the United States as an elite force of anti-drug commandos, but have since signed on as mercenaries for Mexican narcotics traffickers and have recruited an army of followers, many of whom are believed to be operating in Texas, Arizona, California and Florida.

I can't do any better than to quote Bill:  "End the Drug War. End it now."

You just don't understand. This whole toleration of the Mexican plague-of-locusts invasion and the routine atrocities committed in furtherance of the drug trade are all part of Chimpy McBushHitler's plan to invade Mexico and take its oil. Once the American sheeple are sufficiently enraged by the rightward-biased reports of the government-controlled mass media, they'll allow the Evilrepublican Congress to spend another $87 billion dollars to invade Mexico and take control of the oil fields and pipe it straight into Haliburton's pockets. All that's left is for the CIA to take Osama bin Laden out of the underground cell where they've been saving him for just this purpose, and let him loose in the Mexican countryside. Then the American slave soldiers, all of them minorities virtually conscripted through economic genocide and then brainwashed into baby killers and Abu Ghraib torturers, will be more than glad use that as an excuse to kill Mexican babies and set up new torture camps. Remember, it's all about the oil!
