"Leave it on the shelf"

Another subject I haven't broached yet is the book The Truth about Hillary Clinton by Edward Klein.  I expect you've read enough about it already--how it's basically unsupported, unverifiable, and the sort of smear job that should be avoided no matter who the subject is.

There are some people who agree with me politically, in large part, but who I wish would just shut up.  They're not helping.  All this  book is going to accomplish is to contaminate the volumes of legitimate Clinton criticism, making them "tarnished with the tainted brush of this book's accusations."

Peggy Noonan agrees.  So do Michelle Malkin and a host of other reasonably-minded people.

Kerfuffles lists four excellent books that offer "honest to goodness" truth about Hillary, but the existence of a book such as Klein's will make them all less credible, especially--especially--if it is widely read, as it seems to be already.

I may get into trouble with Google for saying this, but it was in fact one of their ads, that appears frequently on my blog, that prompted me to break my silence about this book.  In spite of the fact that I stand to make money if people click on that ad, I request that you not do so.

Don't buy it.
