1. Consent to Terms, Explicit & Implicit
By entering this site and viewing any circuit, description, post, or other material herein presented, you (meaning either you yourself, the reader of this material, or any other person you may pass any material to subsequently) explicitly agree to the following policies. Should you choose not to read this information, this shall be considered to be implicit acceptance of these terms and conditions in their entirety.
2. Copyrights
Forward Biased Communications, the Forward Biased weblog or web site, Kenneth L. Ogle, CETsr, his heirs & assigns (hereafter referred to as FBC) believe that the designs, posts, & articles on this site are either original, public domain, common knowledge or based thereupon, and do not violate copyrights held by any other parties. This cannot, however, be guaranteed, and FBC accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may be imposed upon you by any court, statutory or other body should it transpire that a similar design has been simultaneously or previously designed, published or patented by any other party. If any materials are found which violate any person’s copyright, please let us know so that the offending material may be dealt with.
3. The Nature of This Site
While every care has been taken with the preparation of the material on this web site, it must be realized that by its very nature this is experimental material and is not guaranteed to be free from errors of any kind. The site Forward Biased, located at www.forwardbiased.com, should not be taken as a hobbyist’s site containing “projects” which have been constructed before, or which others are encouraged to construct, in any way. This site is not for general electronics enthusiasts or hobbyists and does not contain so-called “projects.” It is for individuals whose electrical and electronics skills and experience permit them to make an appropriate judgment of all the ideas presented and determine whether they wish to deal with the sort of intensive evaluation and testing that must precede any attempt at construction of something similar to the circuit(s) presented here.
This site is intended to provide information to the general public and cannot in any way be taken as professional advice. If any information is found which is inadvertently in error, please let us know the error—and its consequences!—so that correction actions may be made. These circuits are provided solely as ideas, as springboards for discussion, on an “as-is” basis and no more, and FBC cannot be responsible for the failure of any circuit to operate as described, for the loss or destruction of any components or for any other loss, whether direct or consequential, for personal injury or loss of life, even if FBC has been advised previously of any error. It is entirely up to the reader to determine the suitability or unsuitability of any design for any particular purpose or potential purpose, or of merchantability.
4. The Reader’s Responsibility
Nothing stated anywhere on this site shall be construed as a recommendation that anyone in particular should construct any of the circuits found herein. In particular, no one should even consider constructing any of these circuits without having determined that his/her skills are suitable for such an undertaking, especially power supply circuits or any circuits that incorporate any kind of connection to the AC power mains, that is, the 120V or 230V AC power line.
Forward Biased Communications specifically recommends that no construction must be attempted at all before the user reviews and verifies the circuit, plus all information provided with it, for any inadvertent errors, omissions, and other potential problems.
5. Linked Web Sites
All links provided to other web sites are for the convenience of the user and do not imply endorsement of FBC or this web site by those sites, and FBC accepts no responsibility for any information included at such linked web sites.
Thanks to Rod Elliot of Elliot Sound Products, an excellent site full of audio projects for construction, for the use of some of his site disclaimer language.
